Thanks for your interest in the Kingston Springs church! Sometimes people hesitate to visit a church unless they know what the worship services will be like when they go. At Kingston Springs church, adults and children are treated with both courtesy and kindness. You are our honored guests. It is our goal to help you feel relaxed and comfortable while worshiping the great and glorious God of heaven and earth.
Plan Your Visit
We do not ignore or disrespect visitors, or ask you for money. We do not confront or embarrass people. We will not insult your intelligence or waste your time – we recognize that God wrote the Bible for all people, and so all people can understand the Bible. You will not be made to feel out of place in any way. When you visit, do not expect pure entertainment such as bands, dance groups, shows, or similar events. Do not expect to hear representatives of political, social, or cultural groups. Most of us are interested in those things, but not when we assemble to worship God. Our worship is simple and dignified, like the first churches described in the New Testament. We hope that you will decide to come worship with us, and share this spirit with us today!

What to Expect
Our Identity and Purpose
We aim to be identical to first-century Christians by following the plain teaching of God’s word. As the “seed of the kingdom” (Lk 8:11), the Bible produces the same results today as it did then—nothing more and nothing less.
Non-Denominational Fellowship
We are strictly non-denominational, wearing only the name of Christ (Ac 11:26; Eph 1:22-23). Collectively, we refer to ourselves as the church of Christ, identifying simply as saved souls belonging to Him (Eph 5:23).
Authority of the Bible
Rejecting man-made creeds, we are governed by the Bible alone. We follow the New Testament pattern (Heb 1:1-2; 1 Pe 4:11), accepting the scriptures as inspired and infallible (2 Pe 1:20-21; 1 Co 2:11-13). Because God’s word is final, we do not alter it (Dt 4:2; Re 22:18-19).
Church Organization
Christ is our only head; no human or committee legislates for the church (Col 1:18). Each congregation functions independently. Once mature, local churches are overseen by elders who meet specific biblical qualifications (1 Ti 3:1-7; Ti 1:5-9) and “feed the flock” through example and scripture (1 Pe 5:1-3). Our preachers are ministers and teachers, not titled “pastors.”
The Goal of Unity
We strive for unity among all who obey the New Testament, honoring the prayer of Jesus (Jn 17:20-21; Eph 4:1-6). We believe religious division is healed only by returning to the revealed truth of God’s word.
Our Worship & Assemblies
We offer songs of praise to Him. Our entire assembly joins their voices in every hymn, ensuring the whole congregation participates (Col 3:16-17; Eph 5:19-20). We sing a cappella, following the biblical pattern and the example of the early church.
We pray to Him. While one man leads, the entire congregation joins in spirit. Our prayers include praise and honor, gratitude for our blessings, repentance, and petitions for help with life’s trials and illnesses. Through this, we encourage and uplift one another.
We study the Bible together and find joy in the scriptures. Our sermons and lessons are designed to teach God’s word, comfort the mind, and encourage obedience. We avoid sensationalism, choosing instead to embrace faithful, grounded Bible study.
We partake in Communion to remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Following the example of the first-century church, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday (Ac 20:7).
We give as we have been prospered each first day of the week (1 Co 16:1-2). This contribution is the responsibility of our members, not our guests.
